Twogether

Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Twogether (“Twogether”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Twogether mobile application and related services (the “Service”). Twogether is a couples journey and moments logging app designed to help partners record memories, milestones, and shared experiences.

1) Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect the following types of information:

  • Account information: If you create an account, we may collect identifiers such as your name, email address, and authentication details.
  • Couple/partner connection details: If the Service lets you connect with your partner (e.g., via an invite or code), we may process details needed to link accounts.
  • Content you create: Entries, notes, titles, descriptions, tags, dates, places you add, reminders, mood or journaling data, and any photos/videos/audio you upload or attach.
  • Device and usage data: App interactions, pages/screens viewed, feature usage, device identifiers, operating system version, language, time zone, and approximate location derived from IP address (where applicable).
  • Diagnostics: Crash logs, performance data, and error reports to help us fix bugs and improve reliability.
  • Communications: Information you provide when you contact support or respond to surveys (e.g., emails or feedback messages).

2) How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Service: Create accounts, sync content (if available), and enable core features like saving and organizing moments.
  • Connect partners: Link accounts and enable shared experiences where you choose to share content with your partner.
  • Improve the Service: Understand usage, develop new features, and fix issues.
  • Security and fraud prevention: Protect accounts, detect abuse, and enforce our terms.
  • Customer support: Respond to requests and troubleshoot issues.
  • Communications: Send service-related messages (e.g., important updates, security notices). If we send marketing communications, you can opt out where required by law.

3) How sharing works in a couples app

Twogether may allow you to share certain content with your partner once you connect. You control what you share based on the features you use. Please remember that your partner can view, save, or copy content you choose to share with them.

4) How we share information

We may share information in limited circumstances, such as:

  • With your partner: When you connect accounts and share moments/entries through the Service.
  • With service providers: Vendors that help us run the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, email delivery, customer support tools). They are permitted to process data only for our instructions and purposes.
  • For legal reasons: To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights, safety, and security, or investigate misuse.
  • Business transfers: If we’re involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your consent: When you ask us to share information for a specific purpose.

5) Data storage, sync, and backups

The Service may store your information on your device, on our servers, or both (for example, if you enable cloud sync). If cloud features are available, content you upload may be stored and processed on infrastructure operated by us and our service providers.

6) Data retention

We keep information only as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (such as security, compliance, and dispute resolution). You may be able to delete content from within the app. If you delete your account (where available), we will take steps to delete or de-identify associated personal information, subject to legal and operational requirements.

7) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. Please use a strong password (if applicable) and keep your device secure.

8) Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Data portability (receive a copy of certain information).

To make a request, contact us using the details in the “Contact us” section. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

9) Children’s privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10) International transfers

If you access the Service from outside the country where our systems are located, your information may be processed and stored in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

11) Third-party links and services

The Service may contain links to third-party sites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not ours. We recommend reviewing third-party privacy policies before providing any information to them.

12) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by posting a notice in the app or updating the “Effective date” above). Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
